Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce Names Man and Woman of the Year

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is proud to announce the 2011 Man and Woman of the Year Award winners:

Man of the Year: Steve Collins, Hermosa Cyclery
Woman of the Year: Corinne Ybarra, Civic Member

Steve Collins is a native of the South Bay and is active with the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club, the Hermosa Beach Sister City Association and was honored by the Hermosa Beach Rotary Club with their Businessman of the Year Award in 2011. He spearheaded Hermosa Cyclery’s Fiesta Hermosa Beach bike valet, along with partner organizations Beach Cities Cycle Club and the South Bay Bicycle Coalition, where he is a member of the organization’s Board of Directors.

Corinne Ybarra moved to Hermosa Beach in 1967 and is active with Friends of the Park, Leadership Hermosa, the Kiwanis Club Christmas Tree lot, the Woman’s Club of Hermosa Beach, the Hermosa Beach Historical Society, Hermosa Beach Garden Club, and the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce. Corinne has been an inspiration to many as she is also two time breast cancer survivor.

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce is also pleased to welcome our newly elected members to the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors:

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce will honor these award winners at the Board of Directors Installation Ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, January 12th at 5:30 pm at Union Cattle Company at 1301 Manhattan Avenue in Hermosa Beach. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $50 per person and includes a no-host Cocktail Hour and a sit-down dinner and awards ceremony.
